A number of non-Christians have proposed that Jesus, after surving his crucifixion, went to India and lived to a ripe, old age. Some may say that Jesus faked his crucifixion and went to India. This is based on local legends (I think). It is a complete denial of historic Christianity and the Biblical accounts.

This account overlooks the facts that actually establish the Resurrection story. These facts are in contradiction.

1. All the historic testimony of Christians and non-Christians (even enemies of the faith) was that He died on the cross.
2. People do not survive crucifixions.
3. Disciples later claimed to have seen Jesus in a glorified state.
4. Disciples claimed to have seen his wounds.
5. He was seen ascending to heaven.
6. Paul saw Jesus, independently of the disciples, in a vision, after his death and assension.

If those items are not true the apostles died for a lie, they believed a normal human was the incarnate God for no reason and ... we can't account for all the facts.

What truly shocks me is that people will readily believe some rumor about Jesus rather than accepting the established testimony of those who knew Jesus and those who were willing to live hard lives and die for what they saw. This only shows how truly far our hearts are from the truth.
