No. We aren't saved by faith in general. We are saved by faith in Jesus alone. When we say saved by faith, we mean we are saved by Jesus. Faith in Him places us in His hands. A more detailed explanation can be found here.

I could sincerely have faith that my computer is a god and will save me. It will do me no good. Faith is just as good as the object it is placed in.
