Jewish Identity and Believing in Jesus

Jews believing in Jesus contradictory? While I linked other articles from other sites which deal with this at length, I have to add my own comments.

Is believing in the Jewish Messiah contradictory to being Jewish? Of course not. Historically speaking, the issue is silly. Read the book of Acts. The big 1st century question was how could Gentiles believe in Jesus and remain Gentile. The Talmud itself says that a Jew is still a Jew even if they are apostate. So Orthodox Judaism, if they read their Talmud, would not a have a logical problem with the concept of a Jew being a Jew and believing in Jesus.

The real question is whether or not the message of Jesus is true. Anything besides that question is a diversion. Let's keep our eyes on the ball.
